Girl's Night

A new tradition has sort of started over the last few months. Every Thursday night I get together with some wonderful ladies for dinner and coffee. We all sort of live far away from one another so we meet in the middle and have been checking out different local restaurants each week. Following dinner we head over to Land of a Thousand Hills Coffee. It's been fun to try out new restaurants and all different sorts of foods from Tex-Mex to Greek to Pizza to Burgers. And I love supporting 1000 Hills coffee. An added bonus is that their coffee shop in Roswell is a fun little house that's been converted into a coffee shop. Great atmosphere for relaxing conversation over some delicious warm beverages. What I love even more about Thursdays is the conversation. One of the girls I went to college with and the other I met about a year and a half ago when she started working at camp. The three of us have developed a unique friendship where we have become really comfortable with sharing life. We laugh, a lot. I think the staff at 1000 Hills coffee thinks we are a bit crazy. We are share a deeper level of conversation. We talk about God and what's He is doing in our lives and it's a safe place to ask hard questions. I always leave feeling encouraged. This is what friendship and community is all about. Now if only one other of my favorite ladies would join the fun (you know who you are) it'd be perfect!
