A few years ago I interned with Alison at Lake Champion. We spent two wonderful summers working and living together. And that's where she met Manny. It's been fun seeing her randomly over the last 3 years - at Sharptop, in Orlando, at another great friends' wedding - and the many conversations we've had about life, love, family and Jesus. Alison has such a sweet and gentle spirit, she's one of the most talented musicians I've ever met, and her love for Jesus is contagious. I would say much the same about Manny. You can't help but smile when you are in a room with him. He loves and leads other well. I'm so excited to see where this next adventure takes them. I think together they will continue to do great things for the glory of God.

The other great part about the road trip was seeing so many other great friends from Lake Champion and some other friends who were gracious enough to let me stay at their homes on my journey. Friday night was spent with a former Sharptop intern who lives in Greensboro. Saturday was lunch with a whole bunch of my favorite people from Lake Champion. Unfortunately, I didn't take many pictures but here are a few of the friends I saw. Missing from these pictures are the Young's and the Kirkpatrick's (who I wasn't expecting to see at the wedding... wonderful surprise!) but it was so great to spend time together. Saturday night I stayed with my uncle, who isn't really my uncle but might as well be.

Emotions aside (weddings and funerals shouldn't have to mix), I'm so thankful I was surrounded by such great friends. I love that I get to see them so often because of various celebrations that bring us all together!
