Happy Birthday, Ella!

Tomorrow is the 3rd birthday of one sweet and very special little girl! It's hard to imagine she is already 3 years old. It was even harder to imagine she'd be doing all that she is doing at this point in her little life. But praise God that she is no small miracle and continues to amaze us all! On Sunday evening some friends got together for dinner and a little celebration of Ella's life. We spent the afternoon cooking, eating and laughing. I love these gatherings of friends both old and new. And I love this always changing and growing community. I am learning so much about sharing life - the joys and the sorrows alike. And I'm learning a lot about cooking, too :) We had chipotle-lime shrimp with rice and plenty of chips and salsa. The shrimp was delicious and I'm not a huge shrimp fan. So were both kinds of salsa we had - Mike's red salsa and a mango salsa. For dessert we had Margarita cupcakes though the recipe needs a bit of tweaking. And we enjoyed some spiced Mojitos, a Sig house special. Another evening of good food, conversation and celebrating life with great friends!
