Summertime

I can't believe that it's already the middle (and almost end) of July. The summer is flying by too quickly! I've taken a few short trips (NY twice, Orlando twice) but have spent most of the summer working during the week and helping out at Sharptop on the weekends. I love that I have the opportunity to be a part of YL summer camp. There is something incredible about watching high school kids commit to following Christ each week. It never gets old. And honestly, it gives me a better perspective and attitude as I head back into my normal work week. I don't ever want to lose sight of the power of the Gospel or the great need that we all have for it. And it doesn't hurt to start and end my week living in a community that is sold on the same mission and serving the same God with me. It's a glimpse of what I think real life is supposed to be, before I have to head back into the reality that is my daily life of work.
